Introduction

The purpose of this research is to study if the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes the COVID-19 respiratory infection, is present in saliva. We want to know if virus in saliva can be transmitted in the form of an airborne droplet generated by speaking. This information will help us to understand how the virus is spread among people. We want to collect data and samples from people with no symptoms who had contact with someone known to be SARS-CoV-2 positive. We will also collect data and samples from people with mild symptoms who have tested positive for the virus. We will use your samples to look for SARS-CoV-2 and to see if the SARS-CoV-2 remains infectious.
